I believe the -i parameter in the script should work the same whether you are
using either SLIP or PPP. I know it is interpreted with PPP since I had a
problem at one with PPP connection where I didn't want to get the address from
the server but the script was interpreting junk as an address anyway. The
problem disappeared when I took the -i parameter out of the script.

Hi,
Sorry to bother if this message has gone to the list. I
tried winsock-request@sunsite.unc.edu, but have got an
"user unknown" message...
I would like to subscribe the address
com@icp.pt
to the list. Someone tell me what the standard process
is if this message has gone to the list.
Thanks,
Antonio Sousa

Yes, I had _exactly_ this same experience! Couldn't find any "fixes" either.
I reported it in bug reports to both Microsoft and to QPC, but haven't gotten
any feedback. Furthermore, my system is _not_ running Novell, so I doubt
the conflict lies there - seems to be just MS Daytona vs WinQVTnet. I
suggest you report the bug also, maybe if they hear it enough time, they'll
fix it.
